When we are working on something together, I can look at your screen and help right away. All you need is a small program.

Windows

Just open it, there is nothing to install.

Mac

For Macs with Apple silicon (M1 and later), macOS 12.3 or newer.
Older Mac with an Intel processor (macOS 12 or newer)

How it works

  1. Download and open the program.
  2. Tell me the ID and password it shows, by phone or email.
  3. I connect. You see everything I do and can end the session at any time.
On a Mac: permissions on first launch
  1. Open the downloaded file, drag RustDesk into the Applications folder and start it from there. When asked whether to open an app downloaded from the internet, click “Open”.
  2. In RustDesk, click “Configure” next to “Permissions” and turn RustDesk on in System Settings: Screen Recording, Accessibility and Input Monitoring. macOS will ask for your Mac password.
  3. If macOS asks you to, quit RustDesk and open it again. Without these permissions I only see a black screen and cannot control anything.

Which Mac? Apple menu (top left) → “About This Mac”. If it says “Chip”, you have Apple silicon. If it says “Processor” with Intel, take the Intel version.

The connection runs through my own server in Germany, not through a third-party provider. Nobody can connect without your ID and password. Once you close the program, the connection is over. More in the privacy policy.
