Space System

A desktop app for tasks, notes and files.

Everything sits in real folders on your disk, as Markdown. No account, no forced cloud, no proprietary format. Delete the app tomorrow and your content stays readable.

Tasks, notes and files do not live in separate silos. A project is a folder. What belongs to it sits inside: the task list, the notes, the attachments. Everything is driven from the keyboard.

I build it myself and I work with it every day.

It shows your inbox and your projects while you are out and takes in whatever comes to mind. Photos and screenshots too.

Syncing runs directly between phone and computer on the same network. No server in between, no account. Pair no phone and nothing runs.

Invox

available

Invoice intake, fully automated, from the inbox to the bookkeeper.

An invoice arrives by email. Invox reads it, picks out supplier, amounts, VAT rate and due date, files the PDF by year and month, appends the row to the bookkeeping sheet and forwards the document to the external accountant. Incoming and outgoing kept apart, card receipts on their own path. Nobody clicks anything.

The hard part is not the reading, it is the sorting out. Dunning letters and payment reminders look like invoices but do not belong in the books. Invox tells them apart, catches duplicates, cleans up supplier names and learns from history which suppliers run on direct debit.

In daily use at Jaegerdrei Solution GmbH. Moving to a smaller language model cut the cost per document by about three quarters, with no loss in extraction quality.

Time-tracking bot

Logging hours in plain language, inside the tool people already work in.

People write their hours into Slack in ordinary sentences: yesterday nine to five, half an hour for lunch, from home. The bot understands it, asks when something is missing, and files it. No second tool, no separate login, no form.

Before anything is saved it checks the rules: nothing before seven or after eight in the evening, no more than ten hours a day and fifty a week, a mandatory break from six hours on, and the break may sit neither at the start nor at the end of the day. An entry that breaks a rule is not saved, it is queried. That holds even when the language model produced it.

Every person has their own working days, their own weekly target and their own public-holiday calendar by country. The bot chases missing days, speaks up on its own when the data does not add up, and works out the month-end balance. In German or English, depending on who is writing. In daily use at Jaegerdrei Solution GmbH, across several countries.

FLIMMERN

All of Vienna's open-air cinema on one page, with a vote for the group.

Twelve venues, each with its own programme and its own website. Anyone wanting to know what is playing under the open sky clicks through a dozen sites and still ends up without an overview. FLIMMERN puts all of it on one page: the full programme for the season, sorted by day and filtered by venue. Eight of the twelve venues charge no admission.

Finding the programme is only half the work. The other half is getting five people to agree on one evening. So you save the films that appeal to you, send a link to the group, and everyone marks which ones they are coming to. No sign-up, no app, done in a minute. On request an email arrives as soon as someone has answered, and the evening can go into the calendar with the address attached.

No accounts, no cookies, no tracking. The only thing stored is what somebody types in themselves — the name on the vote, nothing else. A vote deletes itself half a year after the last answer.

Built because otherwise I piece the programme together from twelve sources every year.

Museen Wien

Every temporary exhibition in Vienna's museums on one page, sorted by what closes first.

Ten houses, each with its own site and its own programme. Anyone wanting to know what is on clicks through all of them — and usually finds out too late that a show closes on Sunday. Here it sits in one place, and the main view is not a calendar but "closing soon": every entry says how many days are left.

The exhibition pages are read once a week. What that finds does not go live on its own, it is reviewed first — a wrong closing date is precisely the mistake that would destroy the point of the site. Every entry names its museum, links to its page and says when it was last checked. The museum is always authoritative.

Then the arrangement: save an exhibition, propose a few dates with a meeting time, send the link to the group. Everyone marks when they can come, and the page says which date suits the most people. No sign-up, no cookies, no tracking. A date outside the exhibition's run is rejected.

Grown out of FLIMMERN, with one difference that changes everything: exhibitions run all year, not for six weeks in summer.

KLONK

A daily physics puzzle in the browser. One setup, three parts, one start.

The same setup for everyone, every day: a ball, a basket, obstacles in between. You get three parts — ramp, spring, lever, magnet, tube, block, fan or beam — and a single start button. If the construction holds, the ball lands in the basket. If it does not, you see why immediately.

The levels are not placed by hand but generated and checked by machine. Only solutions that still win when the ball starts slightly offset are counted, which filters out lucky hits. No account, no ads, no third-party servers: fonts and the physics library are served locally.

Instant polls for groups: ask, share, vote anonymously.

One question, one link, one result. No account, no sign-up, no names attached to votes. A question stays open for two hours, then only the result is visible for three more, then it is deleted. That is deliberate: people answer more honestly when they know nothing sticks around.

There are also standing questions for physical places — a fixed link with a QR code that can stay on the same wall for weeks. Submitted questions pass through automated moderation before they go live.

Padavi

A dating app for people with disabilities.

Dating apps assume you swipe, look at photos and type fast. If you are blind or your movement is limited, you do not get far. That is not a technical limit. Nobody ever thought about it.

Padavi starts from the other end. Screen reader and keyboard operation are not retrofitted, they are the foundation. First for people with physical disabilities and for blind people, later for others.

I am founding this with two colleagues. The project has funding and is at an early stage.
