About me

At eight I started taking computers apart. At ten I started programming. As a teenager I taught IT at schools, long before I knew you could make a living from it.

In 1998 it became a profession. I networked point-of-sale systems when the industry still saw that as a gimmick. Then twenty years in internationally growing companies, through acquisitions, integrations and the same question every time: why does everyone work so much and get so little done.

The answer was rarely technology. It was almost always missing structure, paired with tools nobody had set up properly.

Getting Things Done gave me the framework for that. I have worked this way for twenty years, trading notes with practitioners in the German-speaking and international scene along the way. At some point that turned into teaching. Over 3,000 people in over 300 trainings and coaching engagements, as a certified trainer. Since the start of 2026 full time and on my own account.

When I am not training, I build software. Space System is my attempt to build a tool I would recommend myself.
